The Pot O’ Sunshine Story
What do you give when you want to cheer someone up? I had the opportunity to make a Giant Sized version of our Pot O’ Sunshine for a couple of my clients and was blessed to meet one of the recipients of the Pot O’ Sunshine to see her response in person. I happened to be traveling out of town one afternoon shortly after shipping a custom candy bouquet to a lady who had been in the hospital for quite some time. Knowing the lady, I dropped by her hospital room briefly to see how she was doing. When I arrived I noted that her candy bouquet was on the windowsill, but had been virtually untouched. With concern, I asked her about her gift. Did she not like it? Was it against her dietary restrictions? Was there something wrong with it? The lady enthusiastically reassured me that there was nothing wrong with her Giant Pot O’ Sunshine Candy Bouquet and that she, in fact, loved it so much she didn’t want to eat any of the tootsie rolls. She then went on to tell me that every nurse and doctor who had come to visit her had asked where she had got it from. She went on to tell me with great emotion how much she appreciated the gift. It would last much longer than the other flowers that were already beginning to wilt, and it filled her with happiness every time she looked at it. When I left that hospital room I realized that the Pot O’ Sunshine Candy Bouquet would become one of our newest candy bouquet expansions, allowing us to offer not one small 4” candy bouquet, but Pot O’ Sunshine Candy Bouquets in a variety of sizes to meet a variety of different gift giving needs. And thus, the Pot O’ Sunshine Candy Bouquet was born!
